Kickass, the doorstop dog, in an effort to help the keeper and Phyllis understand what contrary things are occurring in their world encourages them to think of themselves as being stray mutts in a corporate-owned animal shelter that has a contract to provide dog meat to North Korea and ultimately parts of Russia.
The trick to surviving under this for-profit “shelter” circumstance is not to cozy up to the shelter manager who favors neutering for all males and permanent pregnancy for all females– which he refers to as “bitches,” but to gnaw an escape hole through the back wall and run across the street to join the demonstration for Planned Decency.
Kickass commends the keeper and Phyllis for their energetic gnawing and invites friends and neighbors to join them.
