Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper’s life-long amicable relationship with chickens keeps forcing him to consider the price of eggs as the issue most needing his expert attention, even exceeding the obvious ongoing coup of the US government.
The coup, by single minded narcissistic crowing rooster types, is one thing and while it will mean the end of democracy, it does not rank up there as a matter of concern with the price of eggs.
The rise in egg prices is blamed in part on 147 million chickens getting bird flu and presenting the threat of passing it on to humans with the result that they had to be killed, the chickens not the humans. Human death and destruction will of course come later as goal of the ongoing rooster coup and may or may not affect the price of eggs.
The keeper will be joining Phyllis now in a breakfast of her expertly prepared scrambled eggs, after which they will study their food budget and the price of eggs to see how long they can survive before the coup gets them.
