Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper and Phyllis in appreciating one of life’s truly great moments as the keeper’s granddaughter Natalie hears her and Elliot’s first-born Augie babble “Ma-ma Da-da” for the first time.

In keeping with the keeper’s clan members’ inclination to be talkers as opposed to listeners, it is likely that Augie has by now told his parents where he plans to attend college and what his political views are.

Good job, Augie! And while it will involve great effort and restraint on the keeper’s part, he will join your loving parents to listen for what you say next. The clan calls the keeper “Pa-B”. Try to say Pa-B, great-grandson Augie, and then keep talking to get “a word in edgewise,” because that’s the way your clan and the world communicates, except when you are talking to your mom, of course.
