Kickass, the doorstop dog, joined the keeper and Phyllis in hosting the keeper’s granddaughter Sarah and Boo, the small schnauzer that once ruled the keeper’s Mazo house where she played her own piano, did an impressive routine of tricks and expressed a barking opinion on all things great and small.
To Sarah’s great credit, Boo has become a sophisticated flyer as the two of them travel back and forth to California where they live with Jessy who facilitates Boo’s luxurious retirement status.
During the recent visit, Boo demonstrated that “retired” status by snoozing on the couch and appearing reluctant to wake up when it was time to go.
The keeper totally identifies with that and with all that goes with being an old dog sleeping on the couch. He misses the days of Boo playing her piano on the Mazo hill but that was then and this is now.
Move over, Boo, and give the keeper a little couch room!
