Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper, in his ever vigilant but forever disappointing search for meaningful political developments, has finally scored big-time with news that Nancy Pelosi has returned to Congress wearing “flats” instead of her signature high-heeled stilettos.
It was while wearing those stilettos that Nancy fell down a marble stairway in Germany last December and needed hip-replacement surgery before she could come home.
The take-away questions from this development are multiple and far reaching:
*Should all politicians be required to wear “flats” in the interest of improved balance?
*Does having a German hip reflect on a Politian’s patriotism and foreign policy decisions?
*Would it be an overall improvement if all politicians fell down marble stairways and required body-part replacement of various kinds?
Responding to some of these questions, Phyllis, who had recent hip-replacement surgery, advises the keeper that she wears flats and takes the elevator to avoid stairs–marble or otherwise, and he should probably follow suit.
