Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper, having sampled an entire day of 2025, has consulted with Phyllis and decided to go through the year identifying himself as a car, which in his case would be a Model A Ford made the same year–1931–that he was born.
As a Model A Ford, the keeper will quite naturally avoid 2025 high- speed political car rallies where million-dollar vehicles congregate to show off their fat tires and will instead park in the shade at rural antique car shows and gossip with old Chevies and Model T’s about what it means to have your radiator freeze up and boil over if the alcohol content of your coolant is too low.
Maybe, he will hear one of the other old “cars” tell of losing a front wheel when hitting a large pig at a high rate of speed–at least 30 mph.
Perhaps Phyllis will accompany the keeper to the 2025 rural car shows, maybe as a 1940 Buick which means she will have hydraulic brakes that Model A’s did not have and drivers were therefore often more concerned about “stopping” than “going.”
The keeper plans to check his Model A “brake linings” and his coolant’s alcohol content prior to the first 2025 antique car show, like maybe even today!
