Kickass and Norma’s Birthday

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper would wish his younger sister a happy 92nd birthday today but he knows she would bring up the occasion of his telling her that if she held the tennis racket in front of her face it would protect her from the snowball that the keeper was about to throw at her.

Come on, Norma, that was at least 80 years ago, and the fact that the keeper was wrong about a tennis racket being a protection against snowballs is immaterial. It was done in the spirit of investigation as was getting younger brother Orv–now only 88, to pilot the runaway motorized coaster wagon as it crashed near where Mom and Dad were working in the garden.

Those were the days weren’t they, Norma?

Happy birthday and keep the tennis racket ready.
