Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper and Phyllis stopped for a drop-in visit with old friends Mary and Jerry at their wonderful place on the edge of Mazomanie with its big garden, repair shed, chicken yard, lush flowers, big trees and friendly dogs.
For many years, the keeper was an egg customer and developed something of a kinship with Mary and Jerry’s chickens, pausing often at the chicken yard fence to pass the time of day with them. Jerry would doubtless observe that the chickens were appropriate company for the keeper.
It was great to see Mary and Jerry still immersed in their busy lives, to meet their newest dog, admire their garden and flowers and say hello to the chickens.
The keeper forgot to take a photo of Mary and Jerry but he got one of the chickens. Make what you will of that, Jerry.
