Kickass, the doorstop dog, does what he can to help the keeper and Phyllis sort through the daily mishmash of bad and infuriating news in search of something positive and uplifting. Those efforts were rewarded big time yesterday with confirmation from Dr. Rose at the UW’s Carbone Cancer center that all is well with Phyllis and she continues to be free of her once stage-four cancer.
That’s bigger news than shutting down Hurricane Milton, shutting up lying politicians or ending one of the horrible wars. Maybe the keeper and Phyllis will leave the TV off today and just sit and smile at each other.
