Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper, ever alert to making meaningful scientific contributions, suggests that the occasion of clan males just happening to gather at a Sauk City lunch venue speaks to a basic evolutionary survival mechanism that warrants further investigation.
On a day when the keeper and brother Orv were doing a bit of a windshield survey, they stopped at the “Gym” for lunch only to discover that sons Mike and Scott, grandsons Steve and Andy and grandson-in-law Kyle were already there. It was a complete surprise to all concerned, there having been no lunch plans previously discussed by anybody.
Perhaps, in addition to its potential value to anthropologists, the coincidental circumstance simple proves that if there is good food to be had, the keeper’s male clan members will be there. They may be using the same mechanism as the turkey vultures.
