Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes that 9/14/24 was one of those beautiful sunny September Saturdays when everyone had a mission, for the keeper and Phyllis it was to head for New Glarus for a late afternoon lunch at “Glarner Stube” which translates to “Living room” and is a dimly lit, narrow restaurant packed with noisy diners, not all, but many tipping up big glasses of Spotted Cow beer to go with their choices of Swiss cuisine.
Under the verity that “everybody’s gotta be somewhere doing something,” Phyllis and the keeper accepted their New Glarus Saturday circumstance with pleasure and a toast to the colorful spotted cows displayed throughout the town.
