Kickass, the doorstop dog, accepts the keeper’s excuse for this late offering as being a routine checkup at the VA Eye Clinic where all was found to be in order, thanks to long term monitoring and maintenance by a series of young optometrists from the UW med school, working under VA docs’ supervision.
Over the decades as a VA patient, the keeper has never received anything but first-rate care, friendly consideration and the very latest in treatment methodology from eager young residents with lifetimes of ambitious service ahead of them, like the young woman this morning who plans eventually to specialize in treating infant eye issues “somewhere in Wisconsin because it is a great place to live.”
