Kickass and Chinook Camping

Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper and Phyllis in lamenting the undeniable verity that their camping days are in the past, but the memories prevail including those that involved the keeper’s wonderful little Chinook RV with its unique military-type appearance, diesel engine and “Lets go” character.

One of the last trips it made before going to a new owner was to visit Phyllis’s family—including her 97-year-old mother in Saskatchewan, on what might be considered an extended honeymoon for the keeper and Phyllis.

With lots of camping memories to draw from—Phyllis on Isle Royal and multiple national parks, the keeper on South Padre Island and northern adventures with grandsons, it is increasingly obvious that   any future “camping” will include recliners around a political TV “campfire” with the keeper and Phyllis hooting like campground owls.
