Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper and Phyllis in the conviction that in Madison, adventure is just around the corner as is a certain amount of risk.
Innocently having sought out a Sunday afternoon source of ice cream cones, the keeper took a random right turn onto Mills Street and there was a parking lot full of the most outrageously costumed, dancing people of Latin American descent doing shuffling movement to loud Latin music from a professional speaker vehicle.
The celebratory occasion was somehow tied to ancient witches from Mexican history.
The dancing attraction was too much for Phyllis to resist and before the keeper realized what was happening Phyllis had joined the witches, ice cream cone in hand, and was in the middle of the outrageous action.
The message for the keeper was plain: if you take a very attractive partner to a dance, it is possible you might lose her to the crowd, especially if the crowd is made up of fascinating witches.
