Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes that there have been a number of inquires regarding the metal animal form that incidentally showed up on a posted photo of the keeper’s new balcony windmill. That animal is the Colorado Coyote–“CC” that was a gift from son Rick many years ago and has been a faithful companion, guardian and confidant through many personal and meteorological seasons.
In his previous station on top of a rock pile in the keeper’s Mazomanie back yard, CC made friends with all creatures through all kinds of weather and was a great listener when the keeper needed someone to talk to in the pre-Phyllis days.
Now as CC occupies his perch overlooking Madison’s west side including a distant view of the Capital, his open mouth howling posture is a daily inspiration to the keeper as he takes Kickass for his daily obligatory walk.
