Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes that between the keeper and Phyllis their geographic coverage of the US with grandchildren is now pretty much complete with the departure of vivacious Taylor for the East Coast.
There was a time when grandchildren lived much of their lives in the next block or on a neighboring farm, and grandparents had enough personal contact with them to dispense endless advice if not hugs of love.
The keeper thinks he would prefer that, forgetting that when they are scattered all over the country it isn’t necessary to worry about such mundane things as a grandchild’s diet or the hours he or she keeps or the tread on their car tires.
So, good luck, Taylor and all the rest of you scattered, lovely, wonderful, flawless, super people.
The keeper and Phyllis will be bragging you up and missing your hugs.Â
