Kickass on Morel Stand

Kickass, the doorstop dog, always ready to assist the keeper in his unfailing efforts to innovate, approves of his adaptation of deer hunting techniques in the seasonal morel mushroom hunt.

Hence forth, the keeper will not stumble about the woods wearing his eyes out trying to spot examples of wrinkled fungi. He will borrow one of those vacant elaborate deer stands—maybe he can find one with a recliner, and he will wait for morel to emerge in his viewing area. And if none of them do, the end result of his “morel stand” will be the same as when the keeper wanders around in the woods with his empty mushroom bag.

Phyllis approves of the keeper’s morel innovation and suggests that he take along a book to read, maybe “A Walk in the Woods.”

(The keeper will not be viewing any Facebook posts from Jerry Davis until the morel season is over.)
