Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper in noting this Earth Day week by honing his respect and disdain for the insidious increase in the power of Earth’s gravity as it effects falling down and retrieving dropped items by those in his age group.
While much is made of the endless abuses of the Earth in the interests of profit and entertainment, its basic gravity is rarely so much as mentioned as either a positive or negative feature.
The keeper is here to complain on behalf of the overly mature crowd that Earth’s gravity is obviously somehow being turned up to support the booming industry of manufacturing walkers, wheelchairs, walking sticks, and pick-up devices, not to mention recliners with assisted exit features.
One of the narcissistic billionaires is doubtless behind the Earth gravity manipulation, and the keeper and Phyllis hope that as soon as he leaves for Mars it will be easier to pick up a dropped spoon.
