Kickass, the doorstop dog, allows the keeper the following, with the promise that he will refrain from personal poetry for at least a week:
       TO DST
“Oh, hour lost, where did you go?
“Did you melt away like so much snow?
We do not like to see time wasted,
Especially an hour we have not tasted.
An hour may not be much, it’s true,
But it’s handy when there are things to do.
Your getting lost was mean and unfair,
None of us have an hour to spare.
We do not accept that you are gone,
So, get back here where you belong!
We’ll use your time in our usual style,
Ignoring the clocks to nap for a while.
