Kickass and Sharing

Kickass, the doorstop dog, agrees with the keeper that in all relationships, sharing is the key to tranquility, and a stunning example of that occurred when Phyllis went to considerable effort to concoct something called “Sheet-pan coconut shrimp and sweet potatoes” and the keeper dutifully and enthusiastically ate large portions of it in a demonstration of sharing in its purest form.

As a general guide, sharing in the interests of relationship success depends on a “doer” and an “undoer,” and there you have Phyllis and the keeper in a nutshell.

The circumstance extends beyond the kitchen and into other rooms where the sharing means that the keeper clutters things up and Phyllis puts everything back in order, which defines the keeper as the “doer” and Phyllis as the “undoer.”

The keeper is comfortable as the “doer” especially in computer issues where if it were not for Phyllis as the “undoer” he would be a treed cat.

The keeper passes on the tip that when it comes to relationship sharing it is important to recognize your boundaries, which in his case means he should stay the hell out of the kitchen until Phyllis is done with her “doing!” He is happy with that and so is Phyllis.
