Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes that in the keeper’s inability to keep up with the flow of things, he missed “Naked Gardening Day,” even though he has been witnessing Phyllis’s–fully-clothed–gardening preparations for several weeks.
The keeper mentioned the day briefly to Phyllis, but she was busy negotiating with Becky at “Busy B’s Landscape Care” for tomato plants, and she wisely ignored him.
Gardening has never been the keeper’s strong suit, but he appreciates the wonderful fresh produce that gardeners bring to the table, and if they–including Phyllis, want to do it with all of their clothes on, he will accept that.
