Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper tries not to get too excited about the Senate Republicans voting down the Equal Rights Amendment since it could conceivably be used by women to demand regulations that men sit down to pee, ending once and for all the controversy of whether the toilet seat is to be left in the up or down position.
Since men see fit to interfere in women’s rights to regulate their own bodies, there might be some chance that the ERA passage would give women some equal clout in how men deal with the toilet seat in relieving themselves.
Equal Rights has the potential of being over-done: next thing we know, according to the keeper, women will demand that men face the west when peeing into the wind.
