Kickass, the doorstop dog, is encouraging the keeper to accept the fact that getting a haircut is enough of an accomplishment to consider a day well spent.

It is in adjusting to these kinds of vintage-age experiences that the keeper and his age group–coming off lifetimes of jobs, busy family living demands and such things as snow-blowing the driveway, are most challenged: Can a day that seemed focused exclusively around getting a haircut be deemed worthwhile?

What if you throw in gassing up the car, or picking up a prescription for Phyllis?

It is the keeper’s feeling that a day can be too easily overloaded if not become hectic, and yesterday was satisfying and productive simply because he got a haircut.

He will get Phyllis’s prescription tomorrow.
