Kickass, the doorstop dog, demonstrates for the keeper and Phyllis the best napping technique for recovering from unusual activity such as a granddaughter’s wedding, or chasing something you cannot catch, like being young again.
The Dorf House marriage of Sarah and Jessy Noble out under that wind-blown willow tree was the start of a great day and night of memorable festivities; and probably cost a bit more than the $5 the keeper paid the preacher back when he married Sarah’s grandmother. As was noted, the keeper got a beautiful woman and four kids, Jessy is getting a beautiful woman and, a dog–Boo, of course.
When the keeper married Phyllis, he got a beautiful woman and the kind of love that transcends all ages.
Sarah and Jessy should be so lucky!
