Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper and Phyllis will be heading off toward Roxbury to participate in the Saturday wedding celebration of granddaughter Sarah and Jessy Noble at the Dorf House. It promises to be a joyous occasion, eclipsing the festive “piano burning” that was once a regular feature down at the Roxbury Tavern.
With some wedding experience between them, the keeper and Phyllis advise Sarah and Jessy that marriage is not unlike playing a piano that is on fire, and if you are going to make matrimonial music you must keep pounding away on the keyboard no matter how hot things get.
“Play it again, Sam!”
