Kickass, the doorstop dog, will be assisting the keeper in drafting a contract for Tim Michels, the eastern billionaire who wants to add the Wisconsin gubernatorial mansion to his collection of mansions elsewhere, in effect making Wisconsin residents his property as in “plantation.”
The keeper is suggesting that instead of an outright sale of the mansion and the state, Michels be offered a “rent-to-own” deal which would give him the opportunity to experience such Wisconsin things as January blizzards and July mosquitoes before he makes a final decision.
Perhaps Michels could also meet Wisconsin’s married-into-millions Sen. Ron who has perfected the purchasing-vote technique of convincing peasants that he is one of them.
It is very temporarily a seller’s market out there and Wisconsin should not have to grab the first mansion offer to come along: Michels needs to sweeten up his deal by agreeing to let Tony Evers remain in his current public housing status while guarding the meager remains of decency in Wisconsin government.
