Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes the keeper and Phyllis’s ’s most recent guest log entries: the keeper’s grandson Nick and great granddaughter Caroline with Caroline demonstrating her boundless gymnastic talent down in the Vista West exercise room; Phyllis’s son Todd and daughter Tyler and one of those great midnight discussions peculiar to families; and then there was Ava, an aging beagle who claimed a corner of the couch and slept through everything.
The keeper participated in all three of the aforementioned activities: leaning on his walking stick to watch Caroline do backflips, talking more than listening in the family discussion, and claiming the other end of the couch to help Ava with her napping.
Life is good!
