Kickass, the doorstop dog, is on board as the keeper and Phyllis celebrate the UW Carbone Center’s confirmation of Phyllis’s cancer still being in remission, by sharing the rouge tomato from Phyllis’s garden at Vista West.
Just why one tomato got way out ahead of the others is one of nature’s mysteries, but the keeper and Phyllis will take it—and run with it, combining the tomato with a bumper crop of kale and a few other ingredients in a celebratory “salad for life.”
The keeper will eat his share of this “salad for life” sans dressing since there are some things in nature that cannot be improved upon.
