Kickass, the doorstop dog, wonders if the visit of Phyllis’s Canadian sister Joan and husband Bill has recruiting connotations: Are they trying to entice Phyllis back to her Saskatchewan birthplace to save her from the ravages of a collapsing, money-driven US government?
If that is the case, Joan and Bill need to know that only a package deal is possible: if she—Phyllis goes, he—the keeper goes too, eh?
In the past, the keeper only went to Canada to catch fish; going there to avoid the narcissistic “fish” running and ruining his own country, and to continue to be with Phyllis, that is a different matter, and one obviously worth serious consideration.
The keeper would, of course, take some fishing tackle along.
