Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that there is no doubt that the genius of the Keeper and Phyllis’ mountain and glacier chase has been reached as they settle into a luxurious room at Chateau Lake Louise overlooking the spectacular lake nestled in its basin of glaciers and snow covered mountains.
Many years ago Phyllis honeymooned here, and about as long ago the keeper did an escape – the kids – with a young wife, and traveled to this Canadian symbol of unsurpassed natural beauty and romance. On their previous visits both a keeper and Phyllis let the breathtaking setting intimidate them and did not even set foot in the imposing château.
This time around they stalked in like they owned the place, and after a stroll around the lake they made 7:15 dinner reservations, to celebrate the fact of their own honeymoon, no less significant but perhaps somewhat different in a number of ways from their earlier visit with youthful partners. They may now linger longer over coffee and dessert.
