Kickass the doorstop dog, picks up his report on the Keeper and Phyllis’ traveling travails on the mountainous banks of the Fraser overlooking Lytton, BC, a town totally burned up in a forest fire last summer. A flaw in the tracks ahead dictates the delay, and there is an informal request not to take photos out of respect for the devastated community, that is akin to parking next to a Costco bordello and told not to window-peek.

The train ride out of Vancouver along the river is a lesson on how trees become lumber, and further info on how a Great River is the only thing that mountains bow to.

Food on the train is as good as it gets in the Keepers world, and the ever present Rocky Mountaineer waiters with their constant proffering of liquid libation is something that the Keeper should not get too attached to. Phyllis agrees.
