Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper and Phyllis will be dog sitting Boo this week as granddaughter Sarah and Jessy vacate their Chicago digs for some Wisconsin recreating.
Boo, a miniature schnauzer with attitude, is 13 years old, and once lived in Mazomanie with the keeper and Phyllis, so it will be a reunion of sorts.
What it also means for Phyllis is that, when the dog-years math thing is applied, she will be contending with two old dogs of equal age.
The keeper will not be doing the dog-years math, and he would appreciate it if everyone else followed suit: recounting years to deny the calendar truth makes no more sense than recounting legitimate votes; and look where that absurdity is taking things.
The keeper and Boo are as old as they feel: sometimes that has puppy attributes and sometimes it is an age-paced “race” to see who gets the couch. Phyllis will be the decider.
