Kickass Votes for Phyllis

Kickass, the doorstop dog, has no plans to accompany the keeper to the polls today to vote in the municipal election, but he will be watching to make sure the keeper votes for those candidates who have proven that they are decent human beings and not egocentric jerks: the likes of FDR and Harry and Ike, come to mind.

The fact that such historic politicians will not be on the ballot saddens the keeper, but it is a local election, and there is write-in opportunity.

The keeper will be writing in Phyllis’s name, after he and Phyllis happened across a campaign sign for a “Phyllis” running for a Verona town board seat, and whose sign is now doing double duty.

While he is not sure just what office he will write Phyllis in for, the keeper says it will be for something important—Like “Municipal Queen” maybe.
