Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper is having difficulty getting into step with the current movement to address political divisiveness by sitting down with and listening to those who hold opposing views. The hard facts are that he—the keeper, does not have the reasoned restraint necessary to smile and listen calmly to those touting their love for narcissistic, insulting, insensitive jerks.
See!
Even as he considers the possibility of political togetherness, the keeper has assumed the level of childish name calling.
Nope!
The keeper is obviously not capable of participating in the sit-down-with-and listen-to political healing being promoted from various quarters, “60 Minutes” included.
He is too old, too set in the way of respecting the truth; and he knows that if he had the opportunity to be in the proximity of the likes of Moscow Mitch he would get great pleasure out of slapping the old Kentucky dude in the face and shouting at him to be decent for once.
The keeper may be older than dirt, but, as Phyllis knows, his childish moments are precious to him.
