Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that today the keeper and Phyllis will host a birthday celebration for Phyllis’s grandson Geordan with a German menu favored by his father Kevin and mother Colleen. It will be a happy occasion, and the keeper will try to keep in check his inclination to proffer birthday advice.
There will be restrictions on the use of internet devices lest they show that heart-rending photo of the Ukraine father sobbing over the blood-draped coffin of his son killed by Russian artillery on a soccer field.
With Geordan’s love of history–including all its perverse machinations, the keeper will be most interested in Geordan’s birthday take on how members of his age group are slaughtered while playing soccer, along with Ukrainians of all ages ripped to shreds by the hundreds in modern communities not unlike the one where Phyllis and the keeper host the birthday party.
No apology is extended to Geordan for mixing his party up with War; the planet is simply not big enough for such geographic moral indifference, and it gets smaller by the hour.
But happy birthday, Geordan, and good luck!
