Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper and Phyllis spent part of balmy, pleasant Feb. 1, 2022 scouting for possible scenes to remake the movie “Groundhogs Day,” including its theme of repeating a day until it generates emotional chaos.

Embracing the undeniable fact that repeating Feb. 1, 2022 could not possibly lead to anything but positive chaos, the keeper and Phyllis strolled the Vista West locale, stopping briefly to chat with a woman whose old dog was distressed over having lost its tennis-ball pacifier; and pausing later to contemplate the many little-used snow plows waiting in the parking lot.  Phyllis, at one point, used the melting snow to demonstrate her snowman-making potential.

The movie remake will have a cast of millions of seniors and will star the keeper and Phyllis in their original roles of appreciating the gift of every day, but especially ones like Feb. 1, 2022. The movie title will be “Pre Groundhogs Day Christmas,” or something along those lines.
