Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that keeper has gone through most of his long life using the “Gone Fishing” philosophy to deal with all manner of issues, everything from birth to death; and so, instead of packing for an upcoming move, he—the keeper looks forward to an overnight outing with Harry Peterson to mark the end of the 2021 trout season.
After days of unseasonably warm weather, the temperature has dropped and hints of ominous things to come, but for a brief period, all will be well and warm with the world, at least over on the edge of the Driftless Area hills where Harry and the keeper have “Gone Fishing.”
Good luck with the trout. The temperature may be a good sign. A black gnat on a wet line will draw them out well. Wish I were there to photograph the efforts.
